Our Biennial Festival of Quilts 2019 “Fantasy of Quilts” was held May 3rd & 4th, 2019 at the Abba Shrine Center, 7701 Hitt Rd., Mobile, AL 36695 from 10-5.  Show Co-Chairs Susan Garrett and her sister Yvonne Taylor are to be congratulated for a wonderful show.  Committee Chairs were responsible for working hard to make it all happen.

Our 2017 Festival of Quilts: “Springtime in Mobile” was held at the Abba Shrine Center, 7701 Hitt Rd., Mobile, AL 36695 on Friday May 5th & Saturday May 6th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.     Our Show Quilt was called “Azalea City in Bloom.” Georgia McCain and Ann Singleton were the Co-Chairmen of our 2017 Quilt Show.  It was one of the most successful shows in a long time. Location, teamwork and strong leadership were the hallmarks.

Our 2015 show was held Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th at Expo Hall in the Mobile Civic Center, 401 Civic Center Drive, Mobile, AL 36602.  Under the expert leadership of Elaine Williams many new exhibits were introduced.  There was a Quilt of Valor exhibit, a History of Quilts exhibit and a display of  the Linus Quilts donated every year.  A highlight of the show was a presentation of Quilts of Valor each day to deserving veterans to show our appreciation for their dedication and courage.  Each received a Quilt of Valor as a warm hug. The Basket Auction was an eye catching display that earned  kudos for our non-profit organization.

Our 2013 show, Quilts of the Gulf Coast, was held in May at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal.  Over 300 quilts were showcased.  There were special quilt exhibits and demonstrations by Rhonda Blasingame from Mississippi, and Carol Thompson from Fairhope.  The 2013 show included a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, a Unique Boutique, vendors with fabric, quilting machines and cabinets, a Quilter’s Basket Auction, and a group of Azalea Trail Maids looking lovely and reminding participants that Mobile is the Azalea City.

Our 2023 Azalea City Quilt Show was held on May 12-13, the Abba Shrine Center at 7701 Hitt Road. The Festival of Quilts Back to Traditions Show featured 250 judged quilts, special displays consisting of Quilts of Valor, Mobile Art Quilters, and charity quilts. There will be the Show Opportunity Quilt, Vendors, Unique Boutique, Country Store, Demonstrations, and Quilts of Valor presentations.
